H&M Large Screen Interactive Display - Tractor

The Brief
Do design a useful large-scale – 5400 x 1920px (5 x 1920 x 1080px portrait-orientated touch screens) in-store application for a fictitious new H&M outlet.

Design must be useful to visitors as soon as they enter the store.

The interface must also support multi-person use consieration was needed for the layout, information architecture and gesture controls.
The Challenges...
Designing on such large scale projects creates unique challenges to overcome.

1/ Creating an interface that makes sense & can be used simultaneously by up to 5 users while still being visually cohesive as one screen was one such challenge.
To overcome this I created a mosaic-styled background that flowed across all screens whether the user was viewing the home screen or within the‘Choose Your Signature Style’  application. The alignment of all elements within the UI was thought about in depth, each one must work both individually and as a whole.

2/ Creating an interface that drew users into the interactivity with visual language.
To overcome this hurdle, the middle three ‘Home’ screens work as one (or individually through model placement) large screen with a video of the models beckoning users in and pointing to the UI for starting the a ‘Choose Your Signature Style’  application.
